The apocalypse half
The first 12 seconds are six shots in a cold kitchen: eyes closed as you raise the gun, the zombie far down the hall, a close-up of the face you know, tears, the gun lowering and your arms opening, the roar and the charge straight at the camera, the grab from the side. Ambient sound and a tense score sit underneath.
The memory half
The grab blurs into light and the next 13 seconds are five warm shots: a golden wheat field, a pink sunset, the two of you walking, laughing and holding each other. The score changes to warm piano and strings on the cut.
