The AI zombie video prompt, shot by shot

If you want to build the zombie trend in a general video tool, this is the prompt structure that works: a cold six-shot standoff, a hard turn into light, and a warm five-shot memory. If you would rather not write a prompt at all, AI Zombie already has this storyboard built in and only needs your two photos.

In short

  • Describe the zombie as early-stage so the face stays recognizable.
  • Keep the standoff to six shots and end on the grab, not on a bite.
  • Switch palette, setting and music on the cut; that contrast is the whole trend.
  • On AI Zombie there is no prompt box; the storyboard below runs automatically.

The standoff prompt

Use a reference image of the person who turns and one of the person with the gun. Ask for an early-stage zombie: the same face, hairstyle and outfit with ashen cracked skin, clouded eyes, grime and torn clothes. Then write the shots in order.

Cold half, about 12 seconds, six shots
Cold, desaturated kitchen at dusk. 1) Close on the survivor, eyes closed, raising a handgun with shaking hands. 2) Down the hallway, the zombie partner stands still, head tilted. 3) Close on the zombie: same face and hair as the reference, ashen cracked skin, clouded eyes, torn shirt. 4) The survivor cries, lowers the gun. 5) The survivor opens both arms. 6) The zombie roars and charges straight at the camera, then grabs the survivor from the side. No gunshot, no blood, no biting. Ambient room tone, tense low strings.

The memory prompt

Reuse both references so the couple in the memory is the same couple. Change everything else: palette, location, light and music.

Warm half, about 13 seconds, five shots
Golden hour in a wheat field under a pink sunset. The same two people, healthy and happy. 1) Walking hand in hand through the wheat. 2) Laughing, foreheads touching. 3) One lifts the other and spins. 4) Sitting together watching the sunset. 5) A long embrace, slow push in. Warm piano and strings. Soft film grain.

Joining the two halves

End the cold half on the grab, brighten and blur the last frames into white, and dissolve into the first memory shot. Cut the music on the same frame. If your tool cannot do this in one generation, render the halves separately and join them in any editor.

Or skip all of it: AI Zombie runs this exact storyboard with your two photos and returns the finished MP4 with music.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paste this prompt into AI Zombie?

There is no prompt box on AI Zombie. The storyboard above is already built in; you upload two photos, choose the format and generate.

Why does my zombie not look like the person?

Ask for an early-stage zombie and keep the reference face, hair and outfit. Heavy decay prompts replace the face with a generic zombie.

Why does the cut feel flat?

The contrast carries the trend. Change palette, setting, light and music all at once on the cut, and end the cold half on the grab rather than a wide shot.

How much does it cost?

A single video is $9.99 for 90 credits, with no subscription. Plans and credit packs lower the price per video. Confirmed failed generations restore the credits.
